I’m Hunnie, a CIM Affiliate Studying Member and Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprentice at Portobello Business Centre.
I’ve always known that university wasn’t for me. I wanted to take a hands-on route into my career and learn through real experience which led me to where I am now.
My journey started when I applied for an internship opportunity at PBC. After my interview I was later offered the role and a few months later the CEO offered me the opportunity to stay on for a three-month contract to keep building my skills. Around that time I had finished school and was actively applying for apprenticeships which was tough but instead of giving up I decided to take initiative.
I researched apprenticeship providers myself found the one that fit what I wanted to learn and presented it to my employer and they said YESS! They had seen my passion and the work I had done so far and were more than happy to take me on.
Now I’m completing my Level 4 Apprenticeship, which is equivalent to the first year of university, and I’m loving the mix of creativity, strategy and real-world learning that marketing offers. Once I finish I’ll be moving on to Level 6, continuing to grow and push myself further.
If anyone wants to chat about marketing, content creation or the apprenticeship journey feel free to reach out. I know how challenging it can be but it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made! 💬✨
